The union was established to serve and protect the rights of its members. It has a responsibility to represent the membership but it is the who members represent the union every day; whether you are working in or involved in your community. The Union has a desire to be seen in communities as a positive influence and supporting charitable organizations.
The Local has been looking at ways it can enhance its presence in our communities, engage the membership and make a positive impact. Unifor Local 2289 has decided to reach out to the membership and present opportunities to volunteer for different charitable organizations.
Please contact the Local office to highlight organizations/charities you are involved with in your community.
Hope for Wildlife is looking for volunteers to become members of their rescue team who pick up and deliver injured or orphaned wildlife that can be cared for, rehabilitated and released back into the wild.
