The union was established to serve and protect the rights of its members. It has a responsibility to represent the membership but it is the who members represent the union every day; whether you are working in or involved in your community. The Union has a desire to be seen in communities as a positive influence and supporting charitable organizations.
The Local has been looking at ways it can enhance its presence in our communities, engage the membership and make a positive impact. Unifor Local 2289 has decided to reach out to the membership and present opportunities to volunteer for different charitable organizations.
Please contact the Local office to highlight organizations/charities you are involved with in your community.
