2023 Union Elections

2023 UNION ELECTIONS

Nominations will take place during regular unit meetings during the month of April, 2023, or if no meeting is held please forward your name to the union office at reception@unifor2289.ca for nomination by April 30, 2023. 

Call for nominations for the following positions:

Executive Board Positions:
– President
– Vice President
– Secretary/Treasurer
– Regional Directors (1 per District)

Non Executive Board Positions:
– Shop Stewards (Districts 1-4)
– Women’s Committee (1 per District)

Candidates for the positions of: Regional Director, Shop Steward and Women’s Committee must be from the District for which they are nominated; they will only be voted on by members of their respective districts.

No members can be a candidate for more than one (1) Executive Board office.

Candidate Profiles are required for all the above positions, and must be received by the union office by May 15, 2023. These can be sent to reception@unifor2289.ca or mailed to 63 Otter Lake Court, Halifax, NS B3S 1M1. 

The election for these positions will be by electronic vote beginning June 1, 2023 at 11:00 am and finish on June 21, 2023 at 8:00 am.
