Election Committee

Hello Sisters and Brothers of Unifor Local 2289,

This is a call out for nominations for 3 members to serve on the Elections Committee.  Expressions of interest will take place during your February 2023 Unit meetings, and those members who wish to be nominated but will not be attending are reminded to send a letter or email expressing this to your Unit Chair prior to your meeting.  If your area does not have a Unit meeting, please email reception@unifor2289.ca with your expression of interest by February 28, 2023, for nomination.  Candidate profiles are required to be submitted to the union office by March 8^th, 2023. The electronic election, if required, will run from March 15^th to March 28^th, 2023.

Duties: the Election Committee shall conduct all nominations and elections and referenda of this Local and shall consist of at least three (3) members. Please see Local by-laws for additional duties.

Please note: No candidate for elected office shall be eligible to serve on the Election Committee.

Candidate Profiles are a requisite for these Committee positions.
