2023 Annual Local Meeting
Please see the following Call Letter regarding for Unifor Local 2289’s 2023 Annual Local meeting. What is the Annual Local Meeting (ALM)? The purpose of the ALM is to exchange ideas and make recommendations to the Executive Board; provide a forum for Units to share information, coordinate activities and build on solidarity with one another; assist Units in participating in the affairs of the Local, and to amend our Local by-laws. When/Where: April 20-21, 2023 Best Western Glengarry Hotel, Truro, NS Delegates: Delegates of the Annual Local Meeting will be nominated and secret ballot vote will occur during their unit’s regular February 2023 monthly meetings. If your Unit does not have meetings, please email reception@unifor2289.ca and nominations will be conducted. Please use the Credential Form for elected Delegates. Credential Forms are due by noon on 10 March 2023 in the Local Office. Resolutions: Any member wishing to submit a resolution to amend Unifor Local 2289’s By-laws may do so using the Resolution Form. Resolutions must be submitted by noon on January 31, 2023. You may email your resolution to reception@unifor2289.ca or send them by mail to 63 Otter Lake Court, Halifax, NS, B3S 1M1, ensuring their delivery by the January 31, 2023 deadline.
